WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: An individual who thrives in an outdoor, hands-on environment. The Snowmaking Supervisor will safely lead the dayshift crew in all snowmaking operations throughout the season and oversee grounds keeping in the Summer months. This is a full time, year round position, that will work grounds maintenance in the Summer months and snowmaking in the Winter months.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven ability to successfully lead a team.
- Strong time management and delegation skills.
- Understanding of snowmaking operations preferred.
- Ability to work extended hours outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift & carry up to 75 lbs.
- Landscaping and snowplow experience including equipment operation.
- Basic hand tool knowledge and skills.
- Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
- Basic understanding of computers and technology.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Supervise and be hands-on with all snowmaking operations during the shift.
- Maintain a focus on safety for all associates and guests.
- Operate all snowmaking equipment and vehicles, including snowmobiles, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform basic snowmaking equipment maintenance.
- Work on the production of snow to create the best skiing surface for our guests.
- Assist in clearing/shoveling the parking areas and common areas of natural snow.
- Oversee all grounds keeping operations in the summer months.
- Other duties as assigned.
